Apple’s First iOS App Development Center will be in Bengaluru

Apple CEO Tim Cook is excited with his first visit to India and so are we. His company Apple has announced that they are going to setup Apple’s first iOS App Design and Development Centre here in Bengaluru, India. Tim Cook firmly believes that “India is home to one of the most vibrant and entrepreneurial iOS development communities in the world”. This move will help boost Apple’s market share in the Indian app development scenario. Currently which is dominated by Google’s Android.

In a recent press statement, Tim Cook mentioned the importance of giving developers access to tools that will help them create innovative apps for customers all around the globe. With the current quality of human workforce available in India, the iOS App Design and Development Accelerator will support the current gap of engineering talent. Over the course of his visit in India, Tim Cook is scheduled to meet Government officials and top-ranking industry executives mainly from telecom firms with the aim of discussing the manufacture and expansion of network in India.

The proposed iOS App Design and Development Accelerator is expected to open in 2017. This initiative will speed up growth in India’s iOS community.

The strategy devised by the company seems like the Apple Team will be giving instructing and guiding iOS developers on best practices and design transformation to improve on their skillset. This will help them transform the existing design, quality and performance of their iOS apps on Apple’s platform.

The Development Centre will also provide briefings, critical planning for individual apps. Apple also expects to serve the development community with one-on-one reviews to strengthen its software foundation here in India. Apple will also bepromoting its own programming language Swift to help build apps for various Apple products such as Mac, iOS, Apple TV as well as Apple Watch.
